D.V., W.P., etc., F. E. Dawkins, J. Kent and R. H. Kent will hold meetings as follows: August 18, Oxford; 19, Coventry; 20, Rugby; 21, Leicester; 22, Burton; 23, Derby; 24, Nottingham; 25, Manchester. Other comrades are invited to join.

ReplyDelete'D.V.' and 'W.P.' refers to 'Deus Volente' (God willing) and 'Weather Permitting'. (Thank you internet. You're not just here to spam me with adverts for dodgy retro football shirts.)
At the time this notice was posted, the SPGB didn't have any branches outside greater London. In this month's Standard, J. Blundell was listed as a party contact in Burton-on-Trent and J, Marsh was the party contact in Manchester but the other areas listed in the notice didn't have anyone listed. That doesn't mean they didn't have members there, though.
