As the September 1982 front cover of the Socialist Standard definitely ranks in the top ten — sod it, top five — of most controversial Socialist Standard front covers in its history ( I happen to like it), I thought it only fair to mention that it generated this critical response from Socialist Standard reader, L de Swart, in the November 1982 issue. They didn't just take exception to the front cover; they also thought Steve Coleman's front cover article, 'Holocaust 2', in the same issue was also beyond the pale.
The editorial committee naturally replied to Mr. de Swart's strong criticisms.
