True story: I actually went to that Richard Headicar meeting in Luton. I would have been in my teens at the time. Missed the last bus to go back home. No mobile phones in them days. No phone in the house,in fact. (Have I mentioned we were poor?) Too much of a distance to walk home. Had to spend the night in Luton dodging and weaving around the city centre all night, waiting for the first bus the following morning. I lived to tell the tale . . . and to write this comment.
