"Miss Foan" could be - might be - F. R. Robins, who was the daughter of F. Foan, and who wrote regularly for the Socialist Standard in the 40s and 50s.
"A. Glucksberg of Johannesburg" was Albert Grant, the father of the late SPGBer, Eddie Grant, who I knew (and admired) in the SPGB back when I lived in Britain in the 80s and 90s.
Albert Grant's obituary appeared in the June 1955 issue of the Socialist Standard.
