This would have been THE propaganda event of the year for the SPGB, in which thousands would have been gathering around their platforms. Therefore, it's interesting to note who were the star SPGB speakers at the time. To be honest, I'm not that surprised at the names listed. Turner, especially, was considered the best outdoor speaker - bar none - in his day. And when I say the best, I mean better than the best of the Labour, CP, ILP, Tory or Fascist speakers of the day.
