Party News from the March 1980 issue of the Socialist Standard
A Bye Election is pending in Southend East, and the local Branch wish to take advantage of the political interest that will arise. They intend to distribute several thousand copies of a Socialist Manifesto, canvassing, literature selling etc. Whilst the date of the Election is not yet known, sympathisers and readers of the Socialist Standard in the area who wish to take part in this work should contact the Branch Secretary.
